EEK! I will never go there! So BAD! I ordered a seafood deluxe, it was terrible! Never gonna go there again! I suggest you don't go there either because its TERRIBLE.

I've been here four times. Service is okay. I only get Vietnamese food, and it is just okay, nothing stellar. Prices are reasonable.

Far from your topical in and out Chinese restaurant. The food is very quality. I highly recommend trying this place.

I love this place! I used to go here often with an old friend. The egg drop soup is amazing and I could eat that all day. I really like the spicy shrimp too! That's all I ever get when I go there. --I'm kind of a picky eater. Vicki is amazing and she's so cute! I definitely feel at home at this place. They aren't expensive which is also a plus! When the friend and I used to go it would be roughly $20 for the both of us (not including tip) I haven't been in awhile and I think I should pay her a visit soon. Vicki is definitely not a dragon lady. She is fiesty but only when a customer gets out of line. I have nothing but the highest respect for this place and its owners

I had the Americanized combo plate of Mongolian Beef, the beef was tender. The spring roll was tasty, and the soup was good. The back side of he menu looked so good, but my coworker was buying ($6 vs $10). I want to eat all the noodle dishes! Since this is close to the Ann Arbor Office I plan on going back.

Pricy for Chinese food. I'm not sure if its because I'm use to metro Detroit prices or what. The quality is pretty good though but the prices keep me away.

Paradise has two really great things going for it: Excellent food and even better owners! Alan and Vicki are amazing people and they go out of their way to make you feel like a part of their family. Even if the food wasn't great, I would still probably come here just to see them. But the food is great! The Mongolian Beef is a family favorite, but for me the vegetable egg rolls are amazing. You really just can't go wrong. Give Paradise a try and get to know Alan and Vicki. You will be so happy you did!

Reasonable prices, somewhat decent food. One of the better Vietnamese spots in the Ann Arbor area -- but that is REALLY not saying much at all.

Lemon! I was craving pho sooooo bad....it was cold and snow has slowly crept up on me and pho was the solution. However, Ann Arbor is not know for this steamy delicious bowl I often salivate about. The pho was small and did not look nor tasted like pho. The vermicelli bowl didn't look or tasted like vermicelli. The only thing I think I kinda like was their spring rolls... The search continues!

Can I just give a shoutout to an asian takeout place that has quality meat? I don't know about you, but most of the time I'm terrified about what I'll find in my cubed hunk of battered and sauced chicken. At Paradise, the quality is perhaps the best I've found in this space. We've tried the Spring Rolls, but our go to appetizer is the "Crab Cheese" better known to most as Crab Rangoon. Delicious deep fried crab meet and cream cheese. We're not overly adventurous but the General Tso and Sesame chicken are both very good. I especially like this place as my wife and I can easily split 1 entree for dinner (the portions are gigantic). Worth trying for sure!

I went to Paradise a few weeks ago and I haven't had it since more than a year ago. It was very different from what I remembered! I have always ordered Pho and it was usually pretty good - not amazing, but decent. This time, however, what a disappointment! The noodles were different -- more like Pad Thai noodles, no Thai basil, and the soup "spoon" was not up to par! The portion got way bigger. They should focus more on using the right noodles and ingredients instead of increasing the portions. The service and the owners are always super nice so I can't be too upset... just disappointed.

This is the top Chinese restaurant in a boring strip mall by Panera in Ann Arbor ! Quality, fresh food run and cooked by a dedicated passionate Asian family ... And on top of the quality - their Vietnamese spring rolls are the best outside of Vietnam ...wrap them in lettuce and you will be in Heaven .

We had just gotten back from Vietnam two weeks before we tried this place for the first time by getting carry out. Their Vietnamese food did a great job of hitting the spot and satisfying our cravings for Vietnamese food. My husband had the chicken vermicelli (Bun) and I had the pho. When I called they said it would be 20 minutes and it was ready when I got there. The owner was really nice and the price was reasonable. Since I am used to seeing Vietnamese names of menu items it would be nice if their menu had that. It would also be fantastic if they expanded their Vietnamese menu as Vietnamese food is much better than Chinese food. I'm looking forward to returning and dining there.

Bleh food that's oily and lacking quality ingredients. The waiter was super nice. Owners are a bit stiff.

I've been craving Chinese food a lot lately and ordered from here couple of times, but each time I was disappointed. In the two visits that I made to pick up my order, I got the following: String bean dinner combo egg plant in garlic sauce chicken broccoli Jalapeño & Cilantro Chicken What did I think? First the chicken broccoli - DO NOT GET IT! It was awful! The worst chicken broccoli I had in my life... the ones they offer at a Chinese buffet are lot better then ones from Paradise.... It had no taste, no flavor and the broccoli was undercooked.... I only ate 1/3 of the food and threw the rest away... they also charge $10 for this dish that comes in a rice container and when you open, it's only 75% full. Egg Plant in garlic sauce - I think the cook was having an off day... as the dish was filled with sugar, because it was darn too sweet! I also noticed that... they put lot of celery and bell peppers... but didn't find too many egg plants... String Bean Dinner - the string beans were good... the fried rice they offered weren't.... next time I would just get the string beans and stick to rice on the side. Jalapeño & Cilantro Chicken.... I couldn't find too much chicken in this dish, despite the name of the dish... there were few slices of jalapeño peppers, few cilantro and lots of bean sprouts and hidden in there few chunks of chicken... this dish THOUGH did have flavor, granted the msg that was in it surely helped. The owners are great, they are friendly and inviting.... as for their food.. it's hit or miss... I think they need to shrink their menu... a place that offers Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese and Thai food all under one roof is a nice concept, but they should really focus on dishes they are really good at....

Came here for lunch and was surprised at how empty the restaurant was. We sat down to order our food and asked for the Pho (Vietnamese noodle soups) and the Pad Thai. I made a mistake with the Pad Thai - it was heavily loaded with soy sauce and I couldn't tell what was in my food besides the noodles and chicken. My companion had the Pho and seemed to enjoy it. For the price point, the pho was a great deal and she ended up having leftovers to take home. My coworkers really love this place but I am questioning their idea of what is authentic Asian cuisine. What I had was strangely familiar but not at all authentic.

It's hard finding decent Chinese food in Ann Arbor. Came here last week late at night (a plus) and ordered the Orange chicken combo. The guy who worked there was very friendly and personable. They cooked my food fast and it was delicious. Good chicken and good rice. The egg roll was decent. It was my first time seeing a cream cheese Rangoon come with a combo platter. I couldn't eat it though because the cheese was hard. Overall, I was very satisfied.

I don't usually get to that side of Ann Arbor but I was visiting a friend and he, knowing my love of any form of Asian cuisine, suggested we go here for dinner. Not sure how we got so lucky but we walked in and had the room to ourselves as we dined in. It's a nice room, too, with an excellent aesthetic. We were quickly brought menus and water and left alone to consider the options. Perusing the menu, I was impressed with the wide variety of dishes stretching from Chinese to Vietnamese, even a bit of Thai and Korean. Also they have a full and impressive bar, though we didn't partake. My friend ordered the General Tso Chicken Dinner Combo while I had the Eggplant in Garlic Sauce Hot Pot. The food came up quick and my friend seemed satisfied with his. I can frankly say that mine was delicious! The moment the scent caught my nose I knew I was in for a treat. The eggplant was expertly prepared and that garlic sauce was extremely flavorful. The only gripe I had, if anything, was the relatively small rice portion (next to the dish itself) that came. Even so, the food, service, and prices were very good. I'll definitely visit again next time I'm in that part of town.

A friend recently reminded me about the Vietnamese side of the menu. That is the way to go here. I'm working my way through the Vietnamese offerings and they're all wonderful. So far my favorites are the noodle soups and the fresh rolls. So delicious and flavorful. IMHO... skip the Americanized Chinese offerings.

Middle of the road Chinese food, nothing special, but OK. You do get a lot of food for the money, just don't expect anything gourmet!

Good food but INCREDIBLE customer service. When I botched my order and ordered non vegan food on accident (totally my fault), they not only generously and happily remade my dish but didn't charge me for it. Awesomely yummy tofu. Cute establishment. Go!

I came to Paradise the other week with my husband, MIL, and young son. I love any and all Asian cuisine, and since moving to Michigan have had a serious hole in my diet for Asian food that is not Chinese or Japanese. We had some awesome go to Vietnamese and Korean BBQ places when we lived in Maryland, and we are still looking for our Michigan counterparts (any and all recommendations welcome!). We were intrigued but also a little skeptical that they offered so many varieties of cuisine. As my husband likes to say if they do all different things they probably don't do any particular one of them well...but we were close by so we tried it. I have to say I was incredibly pleasantly surprised. We all ordered dishes of varying ethnicities, mine Chinese (egg drop soup and chicken with brocolli), my MIL's Thai (pad thai), and my husband's Vietnamese (pork bun). Everything was delicious! I'm super picky about my egg drop soup because in some restaurants it just tastes like salt water but this soup was excellent. And my MIL's pad thai was some of the best I've ever had. More on the sweet side not spicy at all which is how I like it. The grilled pork bun was also delicious, however it came with a pretty sad helping of pork on top. Next time I might try to order with extra meat. We'll definitely be back though I look forward to eating my way through the menu!

Running errands and I didn't feel like cooking when I got home so I decided to give ol' Paradise a try for takeout. I was craving noodles so I just went with a basic chicken pad Thai and it hit the spot. It wasn't the best I've ever had but it certainly was notches better above the worst. Plus the price point was great ($10) and the portion was HUGE so I got two meals out of it. It had a little spice to it and the right amount of chicken--not too much, not too little. It ended up being the ideal dinner after a day of running around. Take out was easy--I called on my way over and it was ready when I got there. The woman who rang me up was really friendly and even though I had a few minutes to drive to get home it was still hot by the time I dug in. There is seating inside if you're on the go and want to eat in but I have to say sitting on my couch catching up on my DVR was a pretty nice way to spend a meal!

This review is only for the most recent visit I took. I have come in the past and gotten the Americanized Chinese food and it's pretty much the same as most other places. However, this visit I got the bun, rice vermicelli deluxe, to compare to other Vietnamese places in the greater Ann Arbor area. I was excited to see that Paradise is within lunch distance of my workplace and just found out that they serve Vietnamese food. So to settle my weekly Vietnamese craving, i ventured out. The place itself is small, but clean and somewhat cluttered but i'm not much about the atmosphere. The bun deluxe is the highest priced vermiclli dish at just under $10, but for some odd reason it only came with grilled pork and two jumbo shrimp. I was hugely disapponted in the portion size as bun was the cheaper tiny version rather than the more substantive regular version most places (especially in Madison Heights) use. There also was no egg rolls either, whereas every other Bun Dac Biet I've ever had has shrimp, pork and spring roll for the variety of textures. So I had to order a seperate spring roll to complete the dish... and this jacked up the price of my meal to about $14. The pork and shrimp was very good, and the hot spring roll was also hot and fragrant with spices... I just feel like the noodles and veggies themselves were lackluster and I didn't get enough to enjoy. I also had to ask for some sriacha for the spice I usually add to the fish sauce. Overall, I would say if you're coming here for lunch, get Chinese food and the lunch special- you'll be satisfied with those portions and the freshness here is pretty good overall. However, I would say do not come here expecting awesome Vietnamese food... I prefer Pho House in Ypsilanti as their bun is substantive, and comes with about double the proteins. According to the website, the owners are of Vietnamese descent, but perhaps they are not actually the ones cooking it, so that's why they lose a couple stars.

I've been here twice. First time was for lunch-I believe the lunch specials go until 3:00. There are about 20 offerings that come with a small cup of soup (wonton or hot and sour), egg roll, and fried rice. I chose the hot and sour soup and it was really good. My dish kao pa shrimp, was a spicy mix of cubed vegetables, shrimp, and peanuts. Really tasty. It's impossible to tell what you are ordering though, as there are no descriptions on the menu. When I asked what the dish consisted of, I was just told "mixed vegetables", so I had no idea what to expect. We went back for lunch on a Saturday, and were surprised to see that they didn't offer the lunch special. On their takeout menu, it clearly states that the lunch special is available Mon thru Saturday. So, we ordered off the main menu. My son got the moo shi, which looked really good. My husband had some classic almond chicken (okay)and I tried the shrimp pad thai. I had read in other reviews that the pad thai was good, so I was surprised to be served a greasy concoction that looked like a plate of spaghetti. Seriously, it was red! No cilanto, no lime, no green. Just a sweet and greasy red sauce with some shrimp steamed into it. It was pretty awful. I imagine we will give it another try for lunch during the week. The place is really cute and the owners were friendly. Lot's of Buddah statues. They have a full bar, but I didn't see any kind of typical chineese cocktail menu.

So far we consider this place as the best Chinese food in A2. Mongolian beef is delicious, chicken pho in the winter keeps us warm and satisfied. Paradise lo mein is one of my favorite dishes. Just tell Vicky exactly what you're looking for to satisfy your palate and she'll make it happen. My all time go to dish is the grilled pork chop with fried egg and garlic string beans....yummy!!!!

The staff was friendly and the wait for take-out is short. The food was great, I always order Mongolian Beef when I try out a new place and this place was great. I tried the fried rice on another occasion and it was also excellent. If you are at the nearby hotel make sure you eat here.

The couple that runs Paradise Asian (Allan and Vicki) was extremely friendly, the food came out quickly and hot, and the dining room was clean and decent. The lemongrass chicken that I ordered was tasty, although the ratio of sauteed onions to chicken was a bit off (too many onions). My wife ordered vermicelli noodles with tofu (a dish called "bun" in other Vietnamese restaurants). Unfortunately, she was served a bland bowl of noodles with iceberg lettuce, sprouts and a couple diced peanuts, topped with plain deep fried tofu. The fish sauce served on the side lent some flavor, but overall the dish was bland, bland, bland, and lacking the fresh herbs (basil, mint, cilantro) found in better Vietnamese presentations. When I asked if they had any fresh vegetables to recommend we were encouraged to order green beans, which came out overly salty, oily and garlicky (even though we asked for them to tone down on oil and garlic), similar to the way they would be served at Panda Express. I was hoping for the flavors of Vietnam, but what I got instead was the flavors of Michigan Asian food (Michigasian, if you will). It was apparent that Paradise Asian has a core group of regulars, but I won't be one of them.

Not impressed. Had the Hunan chicken, mine as well had hunan soup. The fried rice was awful. Egg roll tasted like it was bought from the frozen food section. Only standard item here was the fortune cookie.

My husband and I stopped in for a very true lunch date. We were so pleased with our choice in dining! The food was delicious, hot, not greasy or covered in nothing but breading, and the staff were so nice. This is our new favorite spot!

We were passing through Ann Arbor and had a craving for Chinese. We asked Yelp and found this restaurant. We're very glad we did! This was the best Chinese meal we've had in years. We highly recommend it. First, the food was amazing. One of my complaints about many chinese restaurants is that the ingredients are often not good. How often is the chicken rubbery and foul (pun intended) tasting? Not the case here...the ingredients were fresh and the dishes well prepared. Second, the service was exceptional. It's obvious this restaurant is family run, and we felt like we were guests in their home. We had a very nice evening. Finally, the prices were reasonable. Pf Chang's is twice the price and, well, it's chang's... 5 stars! This place is great.

If you're looking for Americanized Chinese food in SW Ann Arbor, this is the place to go. I've worked nearby for the last 6 years and Paradise is one of my staple lunch joints. That being said, I suspect that the service is probably better if you're a regular, they tend to be a little short staffed every once and a while. I'd recommend the Mongolian Beef as a lunch combo though I haven't been disappointed by their other offerings. The Pho is the best I've found locally but I've never tried it outside AA/Ypsi so I may require a bit of calibration. It's not fancy by any means but it's tasty, the price is right and I've never had a problem with the service. Co-workers I introduce to the joint keep wanting to come back for the Mongolian Beef.

Paradise is a great lunch place. The hot and sour soup is my favorite item on the menu. Soup is always hot and very spicy. Friends and I eat here often and always have a good plate of food. What I love is that the quantity of food is just right, not too much and not too little. Lunch special includes soup, crap rangoon, egg roll, rice and entree.

While waiting on the morons at Best Buy to figure out what they did wrong to my remote start, I followed my yelp to the closest asian place and wound up here. We walk in and I wasn't sure if the place was open, because there was no one there. We are greeted by a delightful lady who was warm and inviting. The place is very cool looking, and makes you feel at home. I order the General Tso Chicken extra spicy. The dinner combo is sweet, comes with a crabmeat rangoon, egg roll and rice. Not a bad deal for like 9 bucks. I am a bit of a "hot mustard" snob at these types of places and I must say the mustard is here is HOT and flavorful, one of the best ive had. If you want to sit down and enjoy a fresh, quality meal, check this place out... Oh and FULL BAR doesn't hurt hahaha

I lived within walking distance of Paradise for seven years, literally walking within feet at least twice a day. I'll drive and hour or more or good Vietnamese or Thai, but you're not owing to find it at Paradise. Over the years, we tried it several times to be fair, but the food ranges from mediocre to poor, the prices are high, the the service ranges from bad to embarrassing. After the fourth time, we just stopped trying, and regularly ordered excellent Chinese from across town (and they were glad to deliver much higher quality food). Paradise is a well-tested PASS.

My family enjoys eating at Paradise on occasion. The sweet and sour chicken is very good, and the ingredients always seem fresh. The owners are very nice, and I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants a quality meal at a reasonable price.

This is a small restaurant located in a strip mall. It's really just ok food. It has sort of a slight pan-asian selection. But more Vietnamese food than anything else. Pho is ok, and the dry rice noodels with marinated beef is ok. Don't bother trying the Thai selections, it is very mediocre. The Chinese food is average. Prices are average. If your really hungry stop by, but don't expect something spectacular.

I've always gotten fantastic service and food at Paradise. The staff is extremely kind and they treat you like royalty. Paradise has become a weekly ritual for my family - the food is amazing and fast. I've never been disappointed by a dish here. The food is on the expensive side but you get a good deal for the price - I've never left Paradise hungry.

I go for Pho in nearly every city I visit. SF, Toronto, NY are hard to beat and difficult to compare, but as far a Ann Arbor goes this is the best and most consistent Pho in town. Port Huron has a few joints, but, Paradise has never disappointed. I have been to Vietnam and have eaten from the boiling pots on the street. Paradise is worth the trip. Good Prices. Large menu. Liquor License. Pretty Authentic Vietnamese. Clean and inviting. Fish tank- Good entertainment for the baby while you wait.

This place is horrible. I called to place a delivery order and the dragon lady who answered didn't seem to know what she was doing; I had to prompt her to take down my credit card number, which she promptly misrecorded. I didn't know this until an hour later when I called back because my food hadn't been delivered. She told me "We call you many time and you credit card no good." I told her that I hadn't received any calls and was advised to "pay attention to the door." Well the food finally arrived a few minutes later. We ordered vietnamese spring rolls (not actually what they call them, a point which she persistently needled me about while I was ordering), vietnamese hot and sour soup (also has a weird name on their menu), claypot fish, and jalapeno and cilantro chicken. The shrimp and pork in the spring rolls were threadbare. The soup had some foul smelling fish in it (a few pieces of old catfish), although I guess they got the broth sort of right. The claypot fish was completely wrong; the traditional recipe is salty and caramelized fish in a thick sauce, but what we got was some undercooked catfish nuggets tossed in a watery mystery sauce with pineapple and green onion (Pineapple? WTF). Finally, the "chicken" dish was actually about 2/3 wet beansprouts with chicken scraps interspersed. Far from paradise.

Over the last 5 years I would occasionally get the mad craving for Pho and this place is 5 minutes from my house so I'd pop in every once in awhile or have them deliver. I've had nothing but problems with them the last 3 times I've attempted to order from them. The first time, we went in to get Pho, Vietnamese potstickers, and spring rolls. Appetizers were quite tasty, but the soup was rather dishwatery/bland - also, the accompanying cilantro was wilted and the onions had been cut days prior from the look of them. Service was obnoxious/rude - clearing away plates without asking, ignoring the table, and general combative/cranky attitude...(if you don't want to run a restaurant, don't run one.) The second time around, I attempted to order a delivery. The woman on the phone (the owner!) was extremely rude...kept saying that it was annoying to deliver and that they were out of everything. So I didn't order anything after being on the phone for 5 minutes while she ranted. 6 months later, we are having Pho withdrawal...so I attempted another delivery *we are 5 minutes away but leaving the house was inconvienient at the time - and we tip very well* Again, I got the owner on the phone who was rude and said that unless I ordered at least $40, it wasn't worth it to them to deliver...and then I asked about a pick-up - and she said it wasn't worth it to them unless I ordered at least $25 of food! ACK! I decided not to get anything and will never deal with them again...good riddance.

Oh Paradise, you of the wonderful fried rice and mysterious prices. I swear I have never once been charged the same price twice there. I think it depends on the whim of whomever is working the cash register what I get charged for a lunch pickup. But it's not too outrageous and their fried rice really is the best I've had in town. The lunch combos are serviceable, rainbow chicken and mongolian beef are standouts. I definitely need to try some of their Vietnamese offerings. Mostly I just rotate among the choices of fried rice. The "mixed meat" fried rice is excellent, with nice slices of steak, tender chicken and plump shrimp. It is quite possibly my favorite takeout lunch in town, and definitely rates a 5 star for that dish.

Paradise is an Ann Arbor gem! Vicki and Alan invite you in and make you feel like family. We've been frequenting the restaurant for years and hope they will be around for many more. The menu offers a diverse selection of oriental foods which are consistently good. Happy to recommend Paradise!

The Pho isn't wonderful but is better than the other Vietnamese restaurants in A2. Just like many restaurants with Pho, some days are better than others. It can be watery sometimes, but can have more flavor other times. The noodle bowl are comparable to ones I've had in cities with bigger vietnamese populations. The most refreshing dish is their jalapeno cilanto chicken with bean sprouts. This is actually a very tasty and spicy dish. I go here very often due to its slightly cheaper prices and awesome service. The owners and waitstaff are very friendly, personable, and attentive.

I was jones'n for some pho and used to eat here years ago, so I decided to stop in and give it a try. The serving was decent sized, but still expensive for what I got. The broth did hint of the proper spices, but was still kind of weak and uninteresting. Besides that, the side of fresh veggies I got was anything but fresh. The cilantro, jalapeno, and cabbage all looked so wilted, white, and dried out that I imagine they were sitting around for many days in the cooler. To top it all off, while I was still eating my soup and using one end of the veggie plate as a spot for holding hot mustard for dipping, the waitress/owner/manager came over without a word and cleaned up some plates, including the one I was using, without even asking. All my "fresh" veggies were still on the plate too, so seems to me like it was pretty rude to just take it away without asking. I feel no need to ever head back here again.

I have only been there for lunch once, but I also have ordered carry out before because I work close by. I think the lunch combo is a good deal for $6.50. You get a springroll, soup, and a seafood rangoon with your entree. I have had a couple sweet and sour entrees that were pretty good. The restaraunt is nice inside. The service could be a little friendlier. I might of have given them 5 stars if my Japanese beer wasn't more then my lunch.

I've been coming here for years and I absolutely love it. The owners and staff have always been extremely courteous and friendly. For those that are referring to the owner as "dragon lady" or any other childish slurs, I can guarantee that she was not out of line/fault first. The food for the most part is great. There is quite the selection and the lunch menu is extremely reasonable with great portions. The vermicelli noodle dishes are great and my favorite soups are the deluxe beef(Pho) and Nam Vang. Definitely at the top of my list.

I was really craving Chinese the other day, and a quick search of Yelp revealed several places. I chose Paradise largely because I had been on the road earlier in the day, so I was very tired and didn't feel like driving through, and parking in, downtown Ann Arbor to get food. This place was especially convenient as it was right off I-94. I ordered the sweet and sour chicken combo with rice, an egg roll, and a crag rangoon (or "crab cheese" as they call it); I loved the fact that they had individual-sized combos here, and I thought it was absolutely delicious, and it was a good-sized portion as well. An order of chicken lo mein helped to satisfy my hunger. The service was very good, and the price was very reasonable for my three-person party.

This place is teh awesome. If you're looking for real authentic asian food, better get on a plane to New York or California. However, sometimes you really want a Crab Rangoon or a General Tso's Chicken, and Paradise really delivers (no pun intended). This is great Midwestern Chinese-American food and is perfect for taking your non-adventurous relatives to when they're visiting you in school. And for the more curious, the Vietnamese menu at this place is a hidden gem. A2 is known for many things, but a hotbed of Vietnamese cuisine it ain't, so this is just another reason to love this place. AND- they have a FULL BAR! Go grab that teetotaling designated driver and head on to Paradise!

Argh, they added so much MSG to my food that my face started to tingle and my eyes were pulsing. The person I was dining with complained of being dizzy. There food isn't that great and I will never go there again.

I have to say this is my favorite place to go to in Ann Arbor for Asian cuisine. I have been going here since I was 19 yrs old. The food is quality. The owners/workers are wonderful people. They treat you like family and great customer service. My only qualm is that if your a person that like large quantities of food you will have to pay extra. They give you just enough or some may think the quantity could be a little bit more. The items I eat there are: Chicken Pad Thai extra spicy, Almond Chicken, Sesame Chicken and Pepper steak (you will defiantly have to order extra meat..it's delicious..meat very tender.) They tease me when I come in because they know I usually get the ALMOND CHICKEN. When I feel adventurous I will order the other items lololololol. As long as I have been going here I should have tried the whole menu by now lololololol. I'm doing better I added the Chicken Pad Thai maybe five months ago. Not only is it the food that keeps me going it's the camaraderie the owners/workers have with the customers.

Overpriced (by far) and not skillfully prepared, in fact lunch was horrid. "Vietnamese pork with lemon grass" would have been lucky to have seen crabgrass and the Mongolian beef stuff was prepared with the same hand full of onion and chili sauce as the above pork. Very mediocre, lunch for two was over $27 and not worth $10.

Fair food at a fair price, but I've only gotten takeout. I have had tastier Asian food but it's rare. Unfortunately this location suffers from a lack of visibility from the street. It's tucked into a shopping center in between several other good choices. But, I recommend Paradise as a nice neighborhood takeout place and it will definitely get a return visit next time I'm looking to dine in. Update: Last time I was unimpressed with the Chicken with Cashews (my go-to meal) but the Sweet and Sour Chicken was great. This time, I got the Chicken Pad Thai (In addition to Chinese, they make Thai, Vietnamese and Korean dishes) and it was fantastic. I highly recommend this dish! I have a new go-to meal and I'm loving it.

I've known Alan and Vicki for years and they've perfected the art of cooking Asian food without excessive grease. Really love this place; strongly recommend the Shrimp Soup (Vietnamese part of menu), Mongolian Beef, Generals... Incredible food, top notch service, doesn't break the bank.

New review as of 05/07: So, Paradise has really grown on me and my boyfriend. We now love this place, especially because the owner makes each dish just the way we want it. Definitely check it out. ---------- Somehow Paradise manages to keep everything fresh despite being in under the following adverse conditions: -located in a strip mall -next to the ever-popular Panera -not having much clientele (as far as I can tell) BUT! me and mine think this place is great. Upsides (which you'll notice, outweigh the negatives): +fresh ingredients +very reasonable prices +great service +fantastic wonton soup +Chinese and Vietnamese cuisine +decor so cheesy it's charming Check it out. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

I frequented this place when I used to run in league with the likes of the Jerry Springer Show guests. It's okay food but Paradise Asian Cuisine really overdid it with the MSG. I left there with a pounding headache and a red, puffy face every time. Even when I asked them to ease it on the MSG. Having an allergy to MSG as a Chinese is akin to having an allergy to beer as a German. It's also sort of like spontaneously developing natural double eyelids as an adult. I understand why the folks at Paradise Asian Cuisine never believed me.

Good take out for Pho and Ja-Jang Myun. I think this place has better Pho then Saigon Garden on S. University and the other restaurant in saline off of stone school and ellsworth road.

We go here for lunch and it serves the purpose... lunch, as other most Asian places, comes with a soup, an egg roll and a crab dim sum... I've tried only one entree and would probably stick to it for a few more months and that would be Garlic Chicken... it tastes good but nothing special... I could have given them 4 stars since it's close to 4 for lunch... but they lost one star for not giving me an additional cup of soup with lunch... every Asian place I've visited for lunch and asked for an additional cup of soup (which, by the way is so small that they must be wasting an equal size just mixing it up and pouring into those small cups), they add it complementary.. not these guys.. they charged me almost 3 bucks for that small additional cup... that's what is called minting money... private banks and wall street people have that privilege... :D ... anyway... coming back to restaurants, thats why they lost 1 star... 'cause if they had included that 2 fl oz soup as complimentary, that dude would have had a couple extra bucks in tip and the restaurant an extra star...

it surprises me that people have had negative experiences here. i've only had positive experiences with both the owner and waitstaff. i definitely think the food -- at least the chicken vermicelli bowl, which is what i ALWAYS order since they make it so well and i can't seem to get a decent version of it elsewhere, including chicago! -- is better tasting and higher quality than other places (*cough, saigon garden, cough)*. and let's not forget, you're likely to get much better service here than aforementioned restaurant on campus. granted, i've not had the pho, which is probably what attracts most people to a vietnamese restaurant, AND an additional caveat is that it is ann arbor. food just tends not to be so good when customer turnover is lower. (i would probably also stay away from the korean offerings as my fellow korean diners have told me that it was OK but nothing special.)

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.
Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.

(3)John M.
Far from your topical in and out Chinese restaurant. The food is very quality. I highly recommend trying this place.
(5)Asia H.
(5)David P.
(3)Dawn N.
Pricy for Chinese food. I'm not sure if its because I'm use to metro Detroit prices or what. The quality is pretty good though but the prices keep me away.
(3)Mitch M.
(5)Guillermo K.
Reasonable prices, somewhat decent food. One of the better Vietnamese spots in the Ann Arbor area -- but that is REALLY not saying much at all.
(3)Julie H.

(4)Faith C.
(2)Sandy K.
(5)Dia D.

(2)Grace L.

(5)Brian G.
Middle of the road Chinese food, nothing special, but OK. You do get a lot of food for the money, just don't expect anything gourmet!
(3)Dorothy M.

(3)Barron M.
(5)Terrell O.
The staff was friendly and the wait for take-out is short. The food was great, I always order Mongolian Beef when I try out a new place and this place was great. I tried the fried rice on another occasion and it was also excellent. If you are at the nearby hotel make sure you eat here.
(4)Aaron L.
(2)Joey S.
Not impressed. Had the Hunan chicken, mine as well had hunan soup. The fried rice was awful. Egg roll tasted like it was bought from the frozen food section. Only standard item here was the fortune cookie.
(2)Dani S.
My husband and I stopped in for a very true lunch date. We were so pleased with our choice in dining! The food was delicious, hot, not greasy or covered in nothing but breading, and the staff were so nice. This is our new favorite spot!
(5)Sheldon P.
(5)Chris R.
(4)Colleen Z.
(4)Eric G.
(3)Tim S.
(1)A O.
My family enjoys eating at Paradise on occasion. The sweet and sour chicken is very good, and the ingredients always seem fresh. The owners are very nice, and I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants a quality meal at a reasonable price.
(4)Sarah W.
(3)Ben S.
(5)Jonathan J.

(3)Kate F.
Paradise is an Ann Arbor gem! Vicki and Alan invite you in and make you feel like family. We've been frequenting the restaurant for years and hope they will be around for many more. The menu offers a diverse selection of oriental foods which are consistently good. Happy to recommend Paradise!
(5)Karl H.
